From Foundation to Commission: My Journey Through the Bible

A Testimony of Obedience, Revelation, and Calling

Reading the Bible from Genesis to Revelation has been the most defining journey of my life. What began as a desire to know the Word became a full encounter with the living God, who shaped me, challenged me, and ultimately commissioned me for His Kingdom.

The Old Testament laid the foundation. It gave me a deep understanding of life’s spiritual history — the fall of man, the covenantal love of God, and the painful, prophetic road that led to the coming of the Messiah. Page after page revealed the holiness of God and the cost of disobedience.

“To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.”

— 1 Samuel 15:22

Through it all, I saw clearly: obedience is God’s love language.

When I reached the Gospels, my soul was revived. The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ pierced through centuries of sin to bring redemption. His words weren’t just teachings — they were declarations of the Kingdom, calls to surrender, and invitations to eternal life.

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest… For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

— Matthew 11:28–30

“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

— Matthew 6:33

Jesus made it clear that true rest and true reward are only found in Him — and that the Kingdom must come first.

He wasn’t vague about the cost. He gave us a clear commission:

“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake… will save it.”

— Mark 8:34–35

“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

— Mark 10:45

As I walked deeper into His words, I felt the call not to comfort, but to carry a cross — to follow the Unblemished Lamb of God who gave His life to redeem mine.

In Luke, I was reminded that discipleship is not a one-time decision but a daily act of surrender:

“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”

— Luke 9:23

“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

— Luke 19:10

He came for me — not when I had it together, but when I was lost. And He still comes for the broken today.

The Book of John made the identity of Jesus unmistakable:

“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

— John 14:6

“I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

— John 10:10

There is no other way. He is not one of many — He is the only. And His desire is not for me to barely survive, but to live fully in Him.

Then came the Book of Romans, and my core beliefs were forged. Paul’s words shaped my theology and exposed the truth: I am justified by faith alone, not works. I am no longer under condemnation — I am under grace. I saw my reflection in Paul, a man radically transformed, set apart, and sent out with holy fire.

The epistles of Peter and James reminded me that faith without action is dead. Trials are not obstacles — they are refinements. Obedience is not optional — it is proof of love. The letters of John called me back to simplicity: abide, remain, walk in love and in truth.

Then I reached the Book of Revelation, and something fierce awoke inside me.

I saw Jesus not only as the gentle teacher — but as the Mighty Lion of Judah, roaring with justice, riding in glory. The King of kings. The Lord of lords. The One who will return to destroy the dragon, judge the nations, and reign forever.

“They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings — and those with Him are called and chosen and faithful.”

— Revelation 17:14

I no longer see myself as a passive believer. I am a soldier of the Kingdom, a son of the Most High, commissioned not to watch but to war — not to sit, but to seek and to serve. The enemy will not harvest this earth without a fight.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid… for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”

— Deuteronomy 31:6

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

— Philippians 4:13

Now I rise with sword and seed — sword to resist the darkness, and seed to plant in souls. The harvest is plentiful. My calling is clear.

This is not the end of my journey — it’s the beginning of a life fully surrendered to the Word, filled with the Spirit, and driven by the mission of Heaven. In all I do — in business, in leadership, in family, and in private — I will seek God in all things, keep His Word in my heart, and walk in the power and humility of both the Lamb and the Lion.

To Jesus Christ, the Unblemished Lamb of God and the Mighty Lion of Judah — be all the glory, honor, and praise.
